The Mountain Drive Community Association is committed to helping the fire survivors rebuild their homes and their community.
Welcome Fire Survivors
Mountain Drive has weathered the Jesusita Firestorm. But many of our friends to the West have lost everything. For this reason the Mountain Drive Community Association would like to offer help those who have recently joined the ranks of the displaced. The learning curve after the Tea Fire was steep. However, the lessons we have learned from the last fire all apply to the situation at hand. This website contains a great deal of information that will help those who have lost their homes put their lives back together.
El Niño Condition Forecast for This Winter!
Do you have adequate erosion control measures in place to protect your property in a major rain event? Mountainous areas are susceptable to erosion and landslides on a normal year. This year, the hillside in burn areas has been denuded of all the plants that usually help control erosion. To make matters more interesting, the forecast calls for more rain that usual this winter. There are many things that the community can to to assist those in need. Many of the victims of the Tea Fire and Jesusita Fire are now homeless. Many have lost all of their worldly belongings.
